In 1984, the Gold Genetic
Breeders added a fullblood Gelbvieh bull to its
foundation. LNR Kaiser combined Sherman and Magnum
as well as the great Miss Vrani, one of the great cows
at Nelson Gelbvieh Ranch. Today, LNR Kaiser
is well known for preserving the strengths of the
Gelbvieh breed as he is a trait leader for both milk and
ribeye area. For

Kaiser anchored the
Bar Arrow program in the 1980's. Other purebred
Gelbvieh bulls have been added to fill the customers
needs of polled and black genetics. These include
Bud, Dr. Pepper and Nagurski.
Balancers® have been added to
simplify crossbreeding for commercial customers.
Balancers®
are a hybrid animal that is 25-75% Angus and 25-75%
Gelbvieh. They are registered with the American
Gelbvieh Association and come complete with a genetic
analysis and performance pedigree.
Balancers®
make it easy for commercial cattlemen to keep a balance
of the muscle and performance of the Gelbvieh while
retaining the strengths of the Angus, namely marbling
and moderate mature size. The use of these hybrid
bulls greatly reduce the complicated breeding programs
of the past.
Bar Arrow completed
their bull offering by adding purebred Angus. This
gave their customers a one-stop-shopping experience.
Bar Arrow requires
their bulls to be balanced for maximum profitability.
Their first priority is fertility and convenience
traits, followed by optimum growth and competitive
carcass value.
